03.07.2007Bacopa monnieri II the Dwarf Bacopa
I also like to use it to hide the hamburger mat filter if I don't want to have Java moss in my tank. Through the bright green color of the plants the mat filter appears after only one or two rows of seedlings so obscure that the filter is no longer perceived. This is a very space-saving and good-looking covering. Otherwise, the Dwarf Bacopa is undemanding in culture and is growing every month about 10 cm, so it must not be trimmed constantly. It reaches a minimum height of 50 cm. It has proven itself to cut stems that grow above the water about 5 cm above the ground. The stemps will drive out after some time again. Therefore this plant cauces at least in higher aquariums only little work and always a background of dense vegetation. The proliferation and also rejuvenation of wooden stocks can be done by about 20 cm long stems. The plant tolerates a lot of light. A good plant fertilizer is beneficial. © Andreas Jδger |
