Cryptocoryne x willisii - Willisii (Nevillii) Crypt

The Willisii Crypt impresses with solid, leathery leaves and its dark green color.

This plant takes time to evolve from a small starting plant to a 8-15 cm high groundcover, because it gets only about 1 new leave per month.

For established tanks, which plants should cause only little work, the Willisii Crypt is just appropriate.

It has, particularly to bright aquatic plants, a beautiful contrast. The culture is undemanding. The aquarium plant propagates by stolons. As with all Crypt attention should be paid to low nitrate levels, as high nitrate levels are suspected to cause Crypt melt/.
